Player Character - Adventures In The Magic Kingdom
Heather: THIS GAME. My sister and I used to play this game all the time when we were younger - it was one of our most played original Nintendo games. And usually it ended up frustrating the hell out of us. You were supposed to get six keys from attractions around the Magic Kingdom to help Mickey Mouse open the castle so they could get a parade started. We could get the keys from Space Mountain, Autopia, Big Thunder Mountain and the trivia with the dog that looks remarkably like Pluto, but mother effer when it came down to the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean, we were always screwed. Years later, right before my sister moved out, we found the game again and played it - getting all six keys. FINALLY. AFTER YEARS.
We were taking a trip (me, my sister, her now-husband and our mom) in October of 2008 to Walt Disney World and were going to the Magic Kingdom for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party one of the nights. You can wear costumes at those parties and I was trying so hard to figure out what a good costume would be to wear there. In a moment of pure Disney magic and insanity, my sister and I realized that the player character (who you can name whatever you want in the game - in ours it was usually "Bob" or things like, "butt") would be the ABSOLUTE PERFECT thing to wear IN THE MAGIC KINGDOM. And there you have it.
